I don’t know if this is the case only with me, but in the latest version of Avast 24.10 Web Shield does not give the option to make exceptions, but automatically aborts the connection.

I can’t recall when I last had an Avast Alert - it has usually been when I was checking out what have been reported as a possible false positive - so I hadn’t really noticed.
That said If you select the show Details it will give you the URL triggering the alert. If you accept the risk you can copy that url and paste it into the Avast Exceptions.
OK. Thanks for the advice… I don’t know why they changed it, previously I could click on add to exceptions right away.
As an Avast User I can’t say why the decision was made. My best guess would be, making it too easy to do a one click exception could have major impact on the users system.
Also, I think having a single button option could lead to accidental use simply to close the window.
