Avast Webshield interferes with TortoiseSVN commits

Hello,

I discovered an issue that only just started recently with Avast and TortoiseSVN on Windows 7 64-bit.

I use TortoiseSVN to maintain a web based SubVersion repository and everything has worked fine up until a few days ago. Both are up to date and have worked fine in the past without interference.

When using TortoiseSVN to commit large files greater than about 4MB it times out with HTTP status 408. Avast doesn’t show any message or popup when this happens. Committing smaller files works.

When I disable Avast’s Web Shield the files can be committed without issue.

What exact version of avast ?
Any other security (related) software installed ? (or was there)

I also have MalwareBtyes Anti-Malware installed but not actively running.
