Avast! window automatically opening at every startup

Hi everyone,

I have Avast! Free for Windows XP and I’ve recently updated my antivirus (version 11.1.2241).
Now, at every startup, the window of Avast! opens automatically and it’s pretty annoying.
I’ve looked through the settings but I couldn’t find anything to solve my issue.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem? Is the window opening every time because I have the Free version (although it never happened before)?
I hope this is the right section for my problem. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

Reinstalling it is a possible way.
