Avast won't go active[Resolved]

Hey everyone, I’m having issues with Avast not being able to turn on. It’ll load up, but won’t actively scan, nor will it do manual scans.

If I try to scan, “Unable to start scan. There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper”

If I try to start the shield, “Unable to start the File System Shield! Shield unreachable.”

I just ran Malwarebytes, got rid of a handful of threats.
Then I ran SuperAntispyware, got rid of a handful of ‘threats’ (seemed to be just cookies)
Windows defender came up with nothing.
Firewalls are on.

Further issues, (Seem as they are virus/malware related) Random files are ‘corrupt,’ I believe this has only happened when installing files. Recently, some of my drivers seemed to go missing/unconfigured, I have fixed most of those. My keyboard and trackpad become unresponsive… (don’t know if this is related)

I am running window7 pro. 64 bit.

Where should I go from here? Some logs?

Malwarebytes log is attached.

Okay, I got Avast running… just reinstalled it. Full scan going now.

I did get notification that SuperAntiSpyware/somethingsomething is corrupt.

The same message I got when installing SC2 earlier, along with some patches for it. Doesn’t seem like a coincidence that these files are coming up as corrupt. Oh and chkdsk /f won’t work to fix the corrupt issues.

Will post results of scan later. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Welcome to the forums, JoeJack11

Yes, please let us know the results and if all is OK.

Avast found 3 corrupt files on my HDD, no malware beyond what was already found by the other two AV tool. Things seem to be normal (aside from my hard drive failing.)

Just a random, kinda related question… Does avast affect Gmail’s loading process? I can only get the html version now…

Glad to know the other problem is OK.

As for Gmail, I do not use it but many others here do and hopefully one of them will post an answer.

I have no problems with Gmail.

Yeah, Gmails back to normal, don’t know what was the issue, probably just one of those phases…

Thanks for everyone’s help.
