why avast dont block a illegal serials?

Well anyone can harvest avast! Pro serials and then request to exchange them for legal one. So thats probably not gonna happen.
Besides, most of users can be just happy with Home Edition. I know i am, i really don’t miss the extra features.
In exchange for usage of Home Edition, i help them out with beta testing. It’s the least i can give back.

well, i also would find illegal serials for avast! if i would search for them and there for sure are more than 15…
the problem is like it is with every other software - people crack/unlock and in this way steal software…
it is possible to use nearly every software in an illegal way and for sure the developers try to stop this, but its nearly impossible to succeed against thousands of hackers which try to unlock the products!
i think that these serials of course can help alwil to fight against crackers but wont lead them to a win…
if you give them 15 serials which get blocked the criminals again produce 30 new ones…
i think the validation of legal software has to be completely changed to be secure - and i hope they do with version 5, because its really unfair if some persons pay for the pro edition (which costs more than any other antivirussoftware and has no relieable reseller in austria - but thats an other story) and others use it for free (in an illegal way, but never will be catched…)
(i bought the pro and did this just to show alwil that they do great work with their product although i could use the home version or an illegal pro)

and i go buy avast pro legal key beacuse avast really work hard to keep our computer saved from virus…
Can you update avast? How long? The stolen keys are, generally, blacklisted.
