Hello all, not sure what the problem is but Avast5 does not start with each boot as it should, the fix option does nothing so I re boot and it starts. This is very annoying and a serious flaw where as Avast4 had no problem like this.
The drive is a fresh re format with no virus or worms, are there any others out there experiencing this problem??

You’re not alone… the forums are becoming flood with this problem…
Something is happening… avast is being “disabled” in some systems.
Anyway, I suggest your repair your installation through the Control Panel and fully scan your system.
Thank you, I am in the process of running another scan with cough Housecall, I don’t think it is a virus but some technical issue with 5, previously when it was a virus problem all the major named anti virus programs were targeted and would not run, even Housecall would be disabled and malwarebytes! This is not happening now so I have to trust what ever results I get with these next scans. One major help is watching the status indicator of Avast on the taskbar, if it don’t move when accessing folders and drives then something is amiss!.
Thanks

Now it’s my turn…
I’ll revert back my system for some hours ago…
I know what you’re going to say Tech, and I agree because I’ve been one of the people with this problem…uninstall Avast and do a clean install. Reboot twice. I know you have your instructions written up, so I’ll let you do the honors. It worked beautifully for me and haven’t had a problem since. ;D
Neither do I… Comodo Time Machine did the work…
