help me out from this problem
am using windows 7 acer laptop
plz…getting this eroor when computer starts

AvastUI.exe application error 0xc0000005

not allowing me to downloaded any file
please help me

Have you tried to have avast scan your downloads ?
The avastUI.exe isn’t involved in the scanning of files or downloads so it shouldn’t be interfering.

Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

Try a repair of avast:
Win7 - Control Panel, Programs & Features, uninstall a program, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and select Repair, click next and follow.

You may need to reboot after the repair.

i tried to uninstall the avast but …didnt let me do it
unable to install…aftr clicking uninstall noting is poping up
and i tried to scan my system but evry time this window AvastUI.exe application error 0xc0000005 poping up
plz help me

What error were you getting when you tried to uninstall ?

no error nothing…if we click avast file…this window error is popping up…AvastUI.exe application error 0xc0000005

Try a clean reinstall:

  • Download the latest version of avast, 7.0.1474 (this assumes you are using avast free) http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe and save it to your HDD, somewhere you can find it again (if you didn’t save your last download). Use that when you reinstall.

  • Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, aswClear.exe find it here and save it to your HDD (it has uninstall tools for both 5.x and 6.0.x).

    1. Now uninstall avast! (using add remove programs, if you can’t do that (as you mentioned) start from the next step), reboot.- 2. run the avast! Uninstall Utility from safe mode, first for 5.x if previously installed and then for 6.0, once complete reboot into normal mode.- 3. install the latest version, reboot.
