AvastUI stealing focus

Hello,

I’m experiencing the same conditions as reported a few months ago here. Was a resolution to this issue ever found?

  • Which Avast…? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
  • Which version…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Would it really have been to much to expect you to post details as asked for ??? :frowning:

I did point out that making a separate thread only to ask the same question I came here for would come across as malicious compliance or at the very least as sarcasm. On the off chance you know the answer, but are stubbornly refusing to answer it unless I jump through your hoops:

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Currently Avast Premier 18.4.2338, though it has been doing this same behavior for a few months (and thus earlier versions), it was only recently that I started using a process logger to find out what program kept doing it, closing other software including booting in safe mode to narrow it down to Avast, which in turn lead me here (well, not here, but to the thread in which I asked about the issue). I have no competing anti-virus/security software running. I’ve been running Avast for so long I don’t remember what would be my second most recent anti-virus.

On the other hand, if the answer is “I don’t know if it was resolved” or “No, this was never resolved” that’s fine, but I find it odd that this dog and pony show is required before answering a simple yes/no question.

Flip flopping between posts to gather information about your system and your problem makes it harder to help.
