Finding strange while browsing some AV forums since a few days are appearing pop-ups for discounts. Until now, it was for Avast software, which is normal on this forum. But now I get AVG ads on the Avast and Comodo forum. I don’t understand and I find this rather “invasive”!
For sure competitors popups won’t come from avast!
Did you register in any reseller or security forum/service?
Which browser are you using and what are you using to block the ads ???
Yes, but I’m on forum.avast.com, don’t see from where the pop-ups come from else from this forum site! I’m using sandboxed Chrome.

It’s Google Chrome related, if I use IE9 everything is fine. I’m puzzled, always thought Chrome was safer than IE9. Am I wrong? :o
I’m using Chrome and don’t have any ads. 
Got it!!! I’m a bit visually impaired but at the very bottom of the ad it’s written “disable” and X-Notifier which is an extension for FF and Google Chrome to alert new mail in Inboxes. I just have to uncheck in the option settings the search for similar product box. Thanks for help!!!
