Awesome XP theme

I know it’s not the best place to post it, but… I’ve just found avesome theme for those, who have patched uxtheme.dll file or who are using StyleXP

Luna Element 5, is a Windows XP visual style and is based on the default theme Luna. A few parts are still in original design so I can't take credit for everything. This theme is also based a little on an early version of the Windows Vista GUI. It's a nice combination of old and new in my opinion.

This VS includes 4 styles:

  • Blue
  • Blue Compact
  • Black
  • Black Compact

I made some screenshots:

And this wallpaper perfectly matches for black style (it IS NOT included in themes self extracting exe file)

THEME’S LOCATION IS HERE

I like this theme because it’s really clear. Let me now what you think! And sorry for total of topic. ;D

This theme is awesome!!! Thanks YLAP ; ;D ;D ;D

Hi,

Since YLAP shared a cool theme I thought I would share a nice wallpaper. It is called Aero Woods it is supposed to be in Windows Vista but I got a copy of it ;D Click the link and you will be taken to a page that shows you the image. Save it then go to where you saved it then right click and click cut. Then go to my computer Local Disk C: Windows scroll down until you find a file named Web, double click the Web file then you should see a couple of folders and some files. Double click the Wallpaper folder then in the folder go to edit then paste. You now can go to display in Control panel and see Aero Woods as a wallpaper choice. You now own a copy of the Aero Woods wallpaper!

Get it here!

Hi Justin,

While the wallpaper might be included in Vista, it was lifted (by MS or whomever) from a photo website (don’t remember which one, now) which I sometimes go to when I have the urge for a new wallpaper. The picture title on that webpage was Forest In The Morning Mist. I shortened the title for uploading here.

But, I am sure others will appreciate you posting this beautiful picture.
Here’s a photo of it showing I downloaded it back in February.

For my desktop wallpaper I use a satellite picture from Google Earth of Family Worship Center in BR, LA.

There’s a world full of choices with Google Earth. ;D

What web site would that be Charley ?

Good question, David. I have about 20 or so sites bookmarked for wallpapers but I’ll see if I can find it.

EDIT :

Well, I found it on the 14th site I checked.
Opera browser sure is fast!

So Microsoft just took it I’m not suprised. :stuck_out_tongue:

MS may well have gotten permission to use it … if indeed they do use it.

Awesome theme, thanks YLAP

Nice to have a fresh looking theme on my desktop ;D ;D

Nice Themes and wallpapers imo it’s hard to go past the wallpaper Kings Webshots

Thanks for that CharleyO I went to the site and downloaded the Image in .jpeg format
drag and dropped it into Webshot program and the WS program did the rest

cheers matey

Very nice wallpaper. I also got some nice stuff. Thanks Charlie, Ylap. Appreciate it.

For those who wish to patch their uxtheme.dll and use =YLAP='s theme, you can get a patching tool from here.

It looks like hybrid between VistaXP and Luna theme… Quiet nice though…

EDIT:
Grrr though it looks nice at first it’s really tiring for my eyes. Especially in Firefox.
Bright blue menu highlighting, gold shining program elements. Not good.
Going back to VistaXP…

You’ll find a few more Wallpapers on MySharedFiles:

Just a few… ;D

Thanks to you both, I have just got a new tft monitor Phillips 200w6cs a 20.1" 1680 X 1050 wide screen it looks enormous compared with my previous 17" tft. So now I’m on the hunt for images that better suit this wide scree format (16:10).

It looks a little strange at the moment, I’m waiting on my new graphics card to arrive, my old one doesn’t fully support that resolution so I’m currently using 1600 X 1200.

Nice monitor David. Enjoy ;D

Everything depends on your taste, I’m not saying everyone should like it

Thanks, =YLAP= !

I had a little trouble getting it to work. For some reason, I just could not get the UXTheme.dll to work correctly. It installed and I could set everything. BUT, when the computer was restarted, everything was set to Windows Classic. Anyway, I finally got it to work correctly (though I’m not sure how since I tried so many things) and it looks great!

Edit:

RejZoR, perhaps you could adjust your monitor/video card color settings? It is really not so bright to me. But, like =YLAP= says …

Everything depends on your taste, I'm not saying everyone should like it ;)
