Bandwidth Meter Speed Test

Check it out HERE

My results using Comcast Cable:

Mine - 1092.7 kbps

DSL/Cable

He He, mines slower than your, but it probably doesn’t work to well on dial-up with a fake area code for UK.

2720 Kbps - You 2720 kbps
charter cable

O… forgot. I’m on a wireless connection so… thats why my status is at 1092.7 kbps.

Maybe if I was on a 10/100 connection then it would be much higher. But I can however download at 100-200k.

Status on set-up - Sprint DSL at 5MB!

NetGear MR814 V.2 802.11b Cable/DSL Wireless Router.

2 computers on Wireless Adpaters. Mine with D-Link “DWL-G510”
Upstairs computer “Netgear WG311 V.2” both Wireless 11MB

Main Computer - “10/100 connection”

Mines is:

3145.7 kbps

Running Cable, optonline from Cablevision.

Is this good as far as Cable speeds is concern?

Yes. Your comnnection speed is outstanding to my point of view

Okay thanks. Soemtimes my speed Varies. I sometimes get to as high as 5000.8 or sometimes higher using my optonline speed check. ;D

Yeah. Everybody’s connection speed goes up and down.

Another place to check bot upload and download speed:
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Last Result:
Download Speed: 2510 kbps (313.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 419 kbps (52.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Remember, I’m now on DSL thru SBC while here in Dallas.

My speed should be up to 256 kbps, so everything’s normal ;D

from Cnet:

1040.3 Kbps - You 1040.3 kbps

I’m using a 3000 Kbps DSL and this is what I’m paying for? ;D

From Speakeasy:

download: 2911kbps upload: 709kbps

1509Kbps

Charter Cable (through 802.11g wireless)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/NAMOR/cnetjpg.gif

My reading at CNet was: 1374.2 Kbps - You 1374.2 kbps

The Speed test gave me 4309kbps download and 431kbps upload

Can anyone tell me why these numbers are so different. Is the CNet figure a combination of upload and download.

Since I just went on Broadband Cable from using dialup at 56kbps, I am thrilled with the speed. I am using the middle speed as they have three prices and speeds at Adelphia.

RoRo
