Bank Mode changes as of today

Hello,
Today when I opened Bank Mode, the background color is now purple at the bottom left, then fades to blue and a sort of green near the top. It’s lovely, however all of my shortcuts are gone and there doesn’t appear to be an option to create shortcuts any more. If this was an update, I’m very unhappy with it. How can I get shortcuts back?

Hm, I haven’t received any update prompts recently. When did that version come out? Still doesn’t explain why Bank Mode appearance changed on its own with no update. One day it looked normal and the next day it didn’t. It still works but there’s no way to add shortcuts back like they were before.

I see there’s a “create shortcut” option in the hamburger drop down. I’ll try it, but dang, it’s annoying to have to redo them all.

Well, I just tried it and no shortcut appeared.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

The new design that you are describing is part of our redesign for new tab page. We are currently releasing it gradually to users and browser does not need to be updated to get new design.

I have retested several scenarios of updates and enabling/disabling of new design and was not able to reproduce the issue.
Could you please answer following questions? It would help us investigate why the shortcuts disappeared.

  • Is “Add shortcut” button missing in your bank mode browser? I am not sure what you meant with the “I see there’s a “create shortcut” option in the hamburger drop down.”[/ol]

I also noticed you discussed browser updates. New versions of browser are also usually delivered to users in waves.
But browser can be manually updated to latest version by visiting “About” page - secure://settings/help
