Brand new version of AVG TuneUp product is now available in Beta!
In this phase of a product lifecycle it is very important to get as much feedback as possible therefore we would like to ask you to help us with testing.
What’s new in AVG TuneUp product?
- Maintenance to perform regular cleaning and fixing of your computer.
- Background & startup programs to speed up the computer by putting some programs to sleep when you are not working with them at the moment.
- Unnecessary Programs to test or completely uninstall some programs you might not even need. (Please bear in mind that this functionality starts measuring the last used value from the moment you get the latest version.)
- Disk Cleaner to clean the unnecessary files from Windows and installed programs.
- Browser Cleaner to clean the unnecessary files from the browser.
- Fix Problems to fix common problems.
- Rescue Center as a backup if something goes wrong during fixing or cleaning stuff through AVG TuneUp.
- History Manager to check what have you cleaned and fixed so far.
How can you help?
[ol]- If you already have a Beta version installed you should get an update automatically (update checks for a new version every 12 hours) if you don’t have it yet proceed with the next step to install it.
- Download the Beta version: http://tuneup.avg.tools.avcdn.net/tools/avg/betatuneup/avg_tuneup_setup.exe.
- Execute the installation package and go through the wizard to install the product.
- The product shall guide you or you can freely navigate through it and try it on your own to see how it works.
- Please try as much features as you can to see how they work and check whether there are any bugs or unexpected behavior.
- If you find any bugs during testing, please create a new thread in this forum section.
- Please provide us also with feedback about what you like most and what you would change.

Known issues
- Unnecessary programs - In some cases the new feature which monitors when a particular program was used for the last time does not work properly and it takes longer to update the last used value.
