Just one of the topics found on here Windows 8 Forums: http://www.eightforums.com/
Its too early to talk about “Cloud” Operating systems. Before we can ever begin to think about a complete transition to a could computing environment we have to get the ISPs to stop imposing ridiculous bandwidth caps. As an example AT&T’s new 2GB monthly cap for mobile broadband users is even less than their old 5GB cap, we are going backwards here. :
I know and welcome to the real work of broadband making dirty money with nasty imposing ridiculous bandwidth caps, and they also say to me if you don’t like it then go else where :-\
There are already posts saying the same. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=57466.0
Search is my friend.
…
This just won’t work for several reasons:
- not all have broadband even these days
- most have ridiculous monthly caps
- sometimes you just don’t have internet available
- sometimes you have to do something but you don’t have internet (that’s why current Windows works so well)
- etc
All I can see this doing, should it be true, is creating a huge boon to Linux and Apple.
+1
Look, we have Gmail offline now…
Gimme a kiss :-* ;D sorry I didn’t look as I’m blind 8) with the Avast search tool
I think it will be a mix of cloud and offline capability
I hate heavy OS with cloud >_>
If that is light then it would be quite pointless…
