I got big problems with Avast 5 free on two computers.I installed it on my own No problems.I Installed it on my friends computer resulting in his computer shutting down with blue screen.When i start his in safe mode it not showing in the program list but icon is there on the screen.I looked up the problem on my on computer and it said to download a program to remove it.I was hoping to put this on usb stick and then use it on his computer.But it wont let me due to the enable avast self defense box been ticked in troubleshooting.I click this off but when i press ok and go back in its still clicked.So just tried to remove avast from own computer program list and it wont remove avst because of error.What is going on??Both computers are running Vista.Any Ideas thanks
Run the uninstall utility from safe mode (as suggested on the page it was downloaded from).
Have (or did) they had another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?
