Billing changed without my concert

Can someone tell me how Avast bills the next renewal. I signed up for Premium and paid for that last September for 24usd Now my subscription is ending and Avast wants to collect 72usd which is 3 times what I paid as renewal from my card. Luckily my card had insufficient funds, I have never changed the subscription products and why would Avast want to bill me what I have not concerted to.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member. I also use Avast Antivirus free so an not familiar with this issue.

It would appear that you got a discount on your initial purchase (quite common). When you purchased this you must have set up (or was the default action) a payment mandate. So you would have to cancelled that payment mandate or payment would automatically be actioned.

I don’t particularly like the practice, but many have an attractive discount for your first practice.

I confirm. The price is always attractive the first year, but the second and beyond, you pay full price.
Here’s what you can see in the store today.

Avast even gave you a better discount in the first year and a slightly lower price for the second.
You can also cancel the automatic renewal and see if they offer you a better rate, but I don’t think you’ll be able to get the same price as the initial promotional price. :worried:
