T-Tools has created a little free program that has been designed specifically to remove every last trace of the entries of IObit programs, such as IObit Security 360 and Advanced SystemCare, left behind if and when you had decided to uninstall one or more of these programs.
Be aware that we do not in any way advise you to remove any one of IObit’s programs.
Certainly a helpfull program, especially seen after the recent controversy regarding the Chinese anti-malware program and the makers of MBAM.
You are the expert, What is your ultimate solution to delete every last 0854NAV~ left-overs by Symantec’s - for example: 0854NAV~ (a temporal 0 kB file in a folder called Savrt) - I could delete it completely, but at first the file was being used by another process. Now it is gone into digital oblivion,
Then link to this thread there then, my good friend, so we cannot loose it and users can reach to it from there. While others may not agree I think fredvries for that one deserves a sticky. Others may object because in the true and fullest sense of the word it may not be fully and completely directly related to avast, but it is a topic that is returning for user and victim alike (many, many times in their life with computers), and makes an essential part of keeping your machine and OS functioning like clock-work, just like crap cleaning and registry cleansing - I think tasks related to av protection “an sich”,
@ nmb:
• I posted because it is a program I co-designed myself and it seemed helpful for users of Avast who switched from IObit programs.
• I thought it would merit a seperate post because it mentions a new freeware program
• This post does not supersede or replace the one about my List of Av and As Uninstallers (because I have stil lots of uninstallers lined up)
