blackfight too..

hello, since today morning avast reports after starting my pc infection blocked object: http://blackfight.info/2828/… url:mal
i already started malwarebytes and moved 5 objects into quarante(?), now after scanning again no more problems. i altough run adwarecleaner09 and problems are fixed. i deleted all cookies in the browsers, too. after rebooting still some alerts!!!
should i mention that about 2 days ago avast gave an alert because of the “wotlauncher.exe”? i ignored it and started it as normal, seems a false alarm to me, because the exe was on the pc since weeks without alert.

after googling i found a almost same problem here:https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=164805.0

so…here i am (too)…
now i started the procedure as i should do for detecting the virus/malware listed in this forum.

soo…again i ran malware…no problems(malware.txt attached)
then frst…scanned, txt attached
then aswmbr…txt attached

so…pls help! btw…can i write in german here?

edit…oops, forgot the aswmbr txt…scanning again to save the txt-file and add this when finished…

can i write in german here?
In the German forum section ;) malware removal team working here use english

so…finally the aswmbr txt attached…

now i hope u can help me here! :-[

Hello,

i attached the fixlog.txt

the pc just rebootet and started new…now working since about 5mins…without alert. im not sure if its fixed, but till now it seems ok. i will post again later if it stays “quietly” …so far much thx!!

btw…what was the problem or where? what was it…to prevent it for next time…
…or…what can i do / install to prevent such things in future? whats your solution?

This was the problem

BITSADMIN version 3.0 [ 7.5.7601 ]
BITS administration utility.
(C) Copyright 2000-2006 Microsoft Corp.

BITSAdmin is deprecated and is not guaranteed to be available in future versions of Windows.
Administrative tools for the BITS service are now provided by BITS PowerShell cmdlets.

hello

ok, no more alerts till now, it seems fixed, so much thanx to you, how can i thank you?

and…bitsadmin was the problem? i didnt get all the text in wiki, so it seems its a windows component, or not?
so…how can i prevent such problems in future? how do you prevent such things? what programs are you using to prevent that? i mean, i have avast installed, the free version, but in that case i dont thing avast premium(?) had stopped it till it get working? does it come from a website or was it installed with a program or was it maybe in an email as picture or something? just wann know - if you can say - how did that happen to my pc?

It is dropped in by a piece of adware, unfortunately there is no way to stop this as BITs is a vital part of windows updates

Avast free has the same engine as the premium versions. So you only need the paid versions if you need the other bells and whistles (I use AIS)

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Remove tools

Download and run Delfix

: Keep Java Updated :

WARNING: Java is the #1 exploited program at this time. The Department of Homeland Security recommends that computer users disable Java
See this article

I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)

If you do need to keep Java then download JavaRa
Run the programme and select Remove Java Runtime. Uninstall all versions of Java present
Once done then run it again and select Update Java runtime > Download and install Latest version

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

CryptoPrevent install this programme to lock down and prevent crypto ransome ware

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/73555776/CryptoPrevent.JPG

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Unchecky

Click on the link above to be taken to Unchecky.com
click the very large Download button.
click Save
Click Open folder
Right click on the Unchecky_setup and choose to Run as Administrator
Once open click the Install button.
Then click on Finish
Unchecky is now installed and will help you keep unwanted check boxes unchecked, this is a fire and forget programme

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

last question…to delfix. should i activate the last 2 options? purge system restore and reset system settings???
reset system settings sounds to…i have to set up all my settings in windows again?

Reset system settings just resets system files back to hidden as some of my tools change that

Purge system restore clears all the old restore points and creates a nice clean one

ok, thanx. btw…i checked the “wotlauncher.exe” again and avast detected a trojan/virus (didnt remember exactly) but i deleted the exe now. ah…i remember…the launcher tries to send data to a russian server - it should be because of the ads in the launcher, so avast did an alert. but very strange…
