Hello
After the success (your success) cleaning my nephews laptop his sisters has the same problem, many PUP’s removed using Malwarebytes but the blackled warnings are now popping up. We have had a good conversation about internet security so hopefully this will be the last of it.

I have attached the scan logs for the experts perusal.

Please download ZOEK by Smeenk and save it to your desktop (preferred version is the *.exe one)
Temporary disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware protection - instructions here.

[*]Right-click on

Run as Administrator to start the tool.
[]Wait patiently until the main console will appear, it may take a minute or two.
[]In the main box please paste in the following script:

createsrpoint;
autoclean;
emptyalltemp;
ipconfig /flushdns;b

[*]Make sure that Scan All Users option is checked.
[*]Push Run Script and wait patiently. The scan may take a couple of minutes.
[*]When the scan completes, a zoek-results logfile should open in notepad.
[*]If a reboot is needed, it will be opened after it. You may also find it at your main drive (usually C:\ drive)

Thanks for the speedy response, here is the scan log. The laptop required a reboot but the blackled alerts are still appearing although not so many… about 5 as opposed to 14 before.

[*]Press Scan button and wait.
[*]The tool will produce two logfiles on your desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.

[*]If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
[*]When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Just ran the fixlist and all is now peaceful with the demanding laptop, the alerts have ceased. Thank you so much. :slight_smile: :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Prior to running it I had a nosey through frst.txt trying to get a good idea of what might be included in a possible list. Some lines I spotted, others not. I will have to learn a lot more about this program. Would you say that GeeksToGo would be a good place to start?
