Blocked app

Hi,

I got a Threat Detected messsage and chose the option to block it.

Subsequently I found that I was unable to save my project in the Family Historian program. It said ‘Unable to save. Access denied’.

I have found that Family Historian is listed in the Blocked Apps section (Ransomware Shield)
How did it come to get blocked as I have been using this software for some time without any problem and is it safe to unblock it?

I am running Windows 10 and Avast Free.
