Blocked Item Notices

I receive numerous notices from Avast about items that were blocked. Are they blocked for good on the first encounter? I don’t record the details of each one, but have noticed several are e-mails from a sender I do not recognize, and I never saw before I installed Avast. I’m a bit confused on what Avast does to prevent future incomings from the same sender. I would prefer they simply be deleted without allowing anything to be redirected or replied from them.

Is anyone able to give a better explanation of what happens when I get those blocked notices?

what does the messsage from avast say? .... is it spam, is it virus? give as much info as you can .... log / screenshot of popup /......

Sorry, new to this forum and haven’t figured out how to imbed the image, so hopefully the link will work:

Have received that same popup notice (same From: name and same filename) a few times now. Doing a search of my hard drive for key words gives no results.
