Hi,there.
I’m a newish Avast user.
I’m having a problem with Avast blocking Cracked…as in the old magazine of the Sylvester P. Smythe variety, now turned into a humour website. It’s described in this wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cracked.com
Anyhoo,it only happens in Firefox.Whenever I go onto the page it just shows a blank white page.
I’ve tried going into Settings,Active Protection, setting for that, and adding the site to be allowed, with no results.
If I disable the avast shield controls for 10 minutes,I can get on,but I’d rather not have to do that every time I go there.
I checked under Site Blocking, but the site isn’t listed there, and I see site blocking is not enabled.
Am I missing where to go in Avast to have the site be allowed?
You can get on the site?
I’m not sure why I can’t.I thought it was down or something until I looked on Internet Explorer, and saw the site was still working.
I’m baffled,I’ve barely opened Avast since I downloaded it,so I’m fairly certain it is not something I set myself.
Oops,I actually forgot to mention that, doktornotor.
I did disable the browser extension and restarted Firefox before I posted but the site is still showing as blank to me.
I deleted my cache, and of a sudden I can see the site.
Though that doesn’t really explain why I was seeing it when disabling the shield control temporarily. :-
I guess I’ll just blame it on gremlins, hehe.
Thanks for the help.
