Blocking & Allowing Methods ?

Hi Everyone,
Can I ask this question about Avast Premium Security?
Why are there 2 different methods in allowing a program and blocking a program?

The 1st Method is:
Open Avast > click on menu top right with the 3 short bars next to menu

Click on Settings > click on Block & Allow Apps

The 2nd Method is:
Open Avast > click on protection > click on Firewall > click on Application settings >
Add new rules for blocking or allowing apps

I know you have more settings & controls and options in Method 2.
I would be very interested to know the answer to this one?

They appear to be different:

Method 1 - appears to relate to the Ransomware Shield (which I haven’t installed).

Method 2 - appears to be specifically for firewall use. Something which isn’t in the Avast Free so I can’t comment.
