How to disable this IE feature? ???
Hi MHG,
I really wouldn’t recommend to do this, but I think this is what to do:
Tools → Internet options → ‘Security’ tab → click custom level button → scrolll to find 'Downloads section → change what you want…
Your choice…![]()

@MHG…
correct me if i’m wrong… but noticed in the screenshot provided, you had Green AV entered in the Google Search box. If you were attempting a download in relation to that search, IE was right in blocking the site.
That is yet one of a growing breed of rogue AV, now capitalizing on the trendy ‘green awareness; feel-good syndrome’.
Yokenny had warned us about this:

Forewarned is forearmed, they say.
greyshade,
a search is not a download…
the google search box will show what you last searched until you close it I think…
plus the relevant site was in the tab - majorgeeks.com…
(just my take on it ;))

that is why i had prefaced my comment thus:

you are welcome, MHG.
actually, you should be thanking the ever-vigilant YoKenny.
Hope you get to the bottom of the problem … why was IE trying to block the download?.. and get it fixed to your satisfaction.
