As i have a similar problem, i´ll take a lift on this topic. I only get blue screen after setting my windows xp on hold when i turn it on again (at this moment i get a blue screen and have to restart the computer). I´m using win xp HE 2002 sp3 and this started after updating to avast 4.8.
