Boot modes in XP

My ignorance is showing again. :-[

Is there a setting somewhere, in XP-Home (SP2), so that I’m always asked to choose how I want to boot (i.e., normal, safe, safe-with-networking)? Using F8 is a little tricky since I’ve got one of these kb’s (Logitech) with the “F-Key” for ordinary function-key functions. And it’s not totally consistent at what point in the boot the F-Key becomes usable, so a forced choice would probably work better for me.

Mike,
You could use the following:

The following will also work:

Thanks guys. Ideally what I’d like is to get that advanced-options boot menu each time, but that seems to be asking too much.

The pcsecuritysecrets link did offer one hopeful encouragement, though. If I’m reading it right, the F-key should be active (in the sense of toggling on/off) almost immediately once I’m powered up.

Mike,
It is as soon as the computer starts to boot. I also have a logitch Keyboard.
