Boot Scan Actions

Ran a boot scan today. It found two viruses:

File C:\System Volume Information_restore{202550A8-7A33-4BCA-9586-051D24DDBF8F}\RP761\A0080644.dll is infected by Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}, Moved

File C:\System Volume Information_restore{202550A8-7A33-4BCA-9586-051D24DDBF8F}\RP761\A0080645.dll is infected by Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}, Moved

I meant to enter #5 option (Move To Chest) but instead inadvertently entered #4 option (Move All). These two files are now in C:\Program Files\ALWIL Software\Avast4\Data\Moved.

Do I manually move these files to the Chest? Delete them? Leave them in the Data\Moved folder?

Read through the Help section and couldn’t find an answer.

Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It won’t harm if you direct delete them this time. Generally, is safer send the infected files to Chest. But in this case they belong to System Restore. You can disable it and enable again. This will delete all infected restore points that Windows keep in your computer.

Thank you. I appreciate the help.

You’re welcome.
