Brother Bear Game Avast says has virus

I just got the Disney movie Brother Bear 2, at Walmart it came with a free cd-rom game (Walmart exclusive). I tried to install the game and Avast came on and said it had a virus. The virus it said is; Win32:Hooker(Tool). I highly doubt that Disney or Walmart would like to spread a virus by giving away this program with the movie. Is this a virus or a program with a bad name that is needed to install the game? If it is just a bad name how can I install the game without Avast popping up telling me I am trying to install a virus? If the program does have a virus on it what do I do, how do I tell the companies that they are giving away bad programs? I don’t know much about viruses, that’s why I have Avast so it will detect them and I don’t get them, and I can live blissfully stupid about viruses. Please help! Thanx. ???

Hi allwright1,

Here you have info about what this tool does, and why they may use it:

Hi Polonus,

I went to the sites you posted. I haven’t got a clue what the first means. I’m very stupid when it comes to computer talk. If you could please give me an overview in plain English I might get it (I’m not guaranteeing I’ll even get it then). I assume the 2nd means it’s a virus? Or is it spyware? So what do I do other than not install it? Does Disney know this is on the program?

Thankyou for your reply but I just don’t get it.

Just thought of something else. With Avast detecting it (that hooker thingy) does that mean that Avast wouldn’t let me get it, if it is a virus, right? So I don’t have to debug my machine, right?
