Browser Cleanup - Where is it?

I’m using:

Program version: 19.7.2388 (build 19.7.4674.528)
Virus definitions version: 190916-2
Number of definitions: 8,170,289
UI version: 1.0.408

I checked it to install “Browser Cleanup”, but I don’t see it anywhere.

Any idea what’s going on?

There’s no interface for BCU, only one option in GA.

Thanks! You’d think this would be listed in the “Performance” tab, especially since it’s featured as an install option.

Using the Avast Geek settings area in Avast Antivirus . . . https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Use-Antivirus-Avast-Geek/

Menu / Settings / Search: geek:area . . . Search: browsers

General / [check] Check my browsers regularly for toolbars with bad user ratings

Check my browsers regularly for toolbars with bad user ratings (enabled by default): Checks commonly used browsers for toolbars with poor ratings and offers to remove them. To determine a toolbar’s rating, Avast uses a cloud-based rating system based on blacklists and whitelists, heuristic algorithms, Avast’s Recommendation Engine, and user ratings.

. . . COMMENTS:

. . . 1.) If you just type in the word “browser”, it doesn’t find it

. . . 2.) It doesn’t tell you how many occurrences of the word there are, you have to scroll through everything

With this last Win 10 update, I was seeing if Win Defender could replace Avast, but the AMTSO virus test page showed me it cannot . . . so, I’m starting to think Avast is really good

If Avast is really good, what are these other install options? I usually only install the first three . . .

It seems like I need these four - why are they in the same column with other features that you have to click on to see?

File Shield
Behavior Shield
Web Shield
Mail Shield . . . Yes, I’m using Thunderbird now

Software Updater . . . File Hippo does this, but I’ll check it out

Browser Cleanup . . . I had to ask where you find this

Rescue Disk . . . Seems like a good idea . . . This comes with the Free version of Avast? Apparently. Good deal.

Wi-Fi Inspector . . . I’ll check it out . . . My D-Link EBR-2310 router, and Obi 202, do not do WiFi . . . It looks at the default passwords, and reports them as insecure, which is an error - It is not looking atthe PWs I have entered to use . . . Click on the PW that it’s reporting, to figure that out, that is a hidden option

Security browser extension
. . . This installed in Firefox on one computer, yellow check mark in the top right, not very obvious - It seems good though, Block All Trackers
. . . This did not install on a laptop, I had to go to the Firefox Add-ons page

. . . SafePrice browser extension . . . No - it must track you
. . . Passwords . . . No - I keep everything in a spreadsheet
. . . Cleanup . . . No - Cleaners make it so DISM and SFC get errors, which you can’t fix

Do Not Disturb Mode . . . I’ll check it out

You’re welcome.
