BSOD after installing Avast AV

Hi guys

This is doing my head in.

Completely reset my laptop because when ever I opened ANY web browser I would get BSOD, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

After resetting the laptop, anything seemed fine, left YouTube running for a couple of hours, not a BSOD at all.

Installed Avast Premium Security, very first time I opened chrome, BSOD.
If I disable all AV shields, no BSOD.

I’ve uploaded the minidump below.

I hope someone is able to shed some light on what’s causing it.

Thanks in advance

Hi, I forwarded it.

Here’s the latest reply from Avast on this problem:
“Not our fault necessarily, but can be just effect of active network filtering (our network filtering) with combination with weakness in 3rd party network component (quite old (2015) Broadcom driver in this case). I’d suggest user to update this driver.”
See if you can find an updated driver here:

Thanks for the replies.

I did download Avast Driver Updater.
That found a few old drivers and one was the broadcom driver. Since updating all the old drivers, fingers crossed it hasn’t BSOD since.

Thanks again

You’re welcome and thanks for the feedback.
