Bsod on win11 caused by antirootkit in avast

Hi,

I’ve had today 3 bsod on win11 (last patch), after some research and with BlueScreenView, the culprit is found and no longer hidden behind ntoskrnl.exe. It’s aswArPot.sys ( aswArPot.sys+17895 fffff801d56e0000 fffff801d5731000 0x00051000 0x6a55e05c 14/07/2026 09:08:12 Antivirus Gen Anti Rootkit 26.7.1005.0 Gen Digital Inc. C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\aswArPot.sys ).

I’ve disabled the anti rootkit agent and no bsod for 3h (finger crossed).

Any definitive solution not reliant on de-activating part of my protection ?

Hi, sorry for the troubles, is it possible you have driver verifier enabled for the aswArPot driver? You can check it by executing verifier.exe as admin, then select “Display existing settings” radio and “Next” button.

It would be helpful if you can share the minidump.
