Hello,
I installed Avast antivirus and after restarting my PC i got a blue screen with error code 0x0000007B. (BsoD), It was working perfectly fine prior to that. I used AVG Antivirus before avast but i didn’t quite like it so i uninstalled it using control panel.
Now i’m getting a blue screen whenever i try to boot my PC, I also tried booting into safe mode but the result didn’t change i got the same blue screen. I used windows 7, I don’t have any restore point created and i don’t have a windows installation disc.
Sorry - I missed this post. I will fetch Sass Drake to provide you additional instructions for using FRST outside of a Windows Environment.
You will need an 8GB USB stick and an additional computer for this procedure,
Which Windows version do you have?
He’s on Windows 7, Sass Drake
- On another PC download FRST version depending wheter is Windows 7 you had 32-bit or 64-bit.
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/ - Copy downloaded FRST to USB drive
- Connect USB drive to unbootable PC
- Try to enter Recovery Mode in Windows 7
https://neosmart.net/wiki/system-recovery-options/#System_Recovery_Options_in_Windows_7 - In System Recovery Mode click on Command Prompt
- In Command Prompt type notepad and press Enter
- In Notepad, go to File → Open and go to Computer and locate USB drive and remember it’s letter (it can be D:, E:, …)
- Return to command prompt and type E:\FRST.exe or E:\FRST64.exe depending on downloaded FRST version. Replace E: with letter of USB drive.
- FRST will open. Click on Yes and then on Scan
- When finished, FRST will generate FRST.txt on your USB drive. Attach it to you post.
