BSOD problem

Hello Avast!

Yesterday I got a computer from my cousins and when I booted it up everything was ok. I did a Windows Update on the Vista computer my cousins gave me. After I installed the Update the computer got a BSOD (Blue screen of death) and then it was a message saying:

Hard Disk Memory Counting: (number from 1-100)

When it reached to 100% the computer restarted. But when it booted up again a Black Screen of Death showed up and there was a message saying: WINDOWS WAS UNABLE TO BOOT UP. Do you want Windows to repair itself?

I pressed F2 and the FUJITSU Recovery was opened. But when I tried to recover the system FUJITSU Recovery system stopped to recover the system at 96%

Any help?
