BSoD Windows XP 32 bits

Hi, I used Avast and I notice I start to get BSoD

These might be the cause of the BSoD crashes.

aswSP.sys
aswMon2.sys
aswSnx.sys

Anyways to fix them?

Please, go to folder \windows\minidump and send the newest (recent) .mdmp files for analysis.
There is also C:\Windows\Memory.dmp file.
Better if you can compress (zip), rename it with an unique name, them and add some information about the BSOD and the link for this thread.
Upload it to this anonymous ftp server: ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming/

Disable Automatic Restart:
System Properties > Advanced > [Startup and Recovery]Settings
Remove the checkmark from “Automatically Restart” in the System Failure section.

Besides Google also you can use:

Do you accept .rar file and how I upload to the FTP link? I don’t see the upload link o.o

Yes .RAR files should be fine.

Upload the zip file to the ftp server ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming:

  • Using Internet Explorer, Connect to the link and drag the file into the Right pane and drop it, that starts the upload, you don’t have read access to this folder, so you won’t be able to see it once uploaded.

Or

Upload it using the Run command-line in Windows: Windows Key + R (to get the run box), copy and paste this

explorer ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming

and drag the file into the window, from another explorer window.

Is it normal if it’s asking to download my own file? lol

What version of Avast are you using? Current version is 6.0.1125.
If you are on an older version, please update the program, that may well cure the BSOD issue.

Yes, I am using the lastest version.

Proceed with the dump file.

Oh nevermind, I successfully Uploaded the file to ftp. I forgot to go to Windows Explorer lol

Which is the file name for they to monitor the ftp?

I named it “BSoDwindowXP32” (without the quotes)
