I have been experiencing BSOD on a WinXP pro SP3 machine. Started with AIS 5.8. I uninstalled ver 5.8 and installed 6.0 and currently up to 6.1. I had several BSOD until upgrading and updating to 6.1, and now its less frequent. The machine has had Norton and McAfee at various times. I removed each of those products through the uninstaller and then the removal tools provided by the respective companies before installing AVAST! It has also had Ad aware and malwarebytes. I have uploaded a mini-dump to the ftp site. The machine is one of several Dell clones i support. This seems to only plague one machine. Hopefully someone will have a look at the file and reply to me.
Try this build of Avast AIS: Avast AIS 6.0.1044
There have been bugfixes incorporated that deal with BSODs on Win XP. It’s a pre-release, extremely stable and it is adviseable to use.

I will give it a go and post back with results. It may be some time before I can report an all clear as the last BSOD was 4-11-11 and before that was 3-1-11.
thanks, please upload more minidumps (if you have any)
