First of all, sorry for my English. I hope somebody understand what’s my Problem.
Since i updated to Avast 4.6.603 from avast 4.5, sometimes when i visit this site h**p://www.comunitatvalenciana.com/cgi-bin/webcam/redireccion.pl?url1=/castellano/indice/menu.htm&url2=/cgi-bin/webcam/ficha.pl?plantilla%3dplantillaIndex.htm%26idioma%3dAL
i receive a BSOD with following Errorcode:
Especialy on the webcam of denia and there klicking on the link Wetterinformation.
My Sytem is a Acer Aspire 1610 series Notebook with winXP pro SP2. I use Firefox 1.0.1, outpost 2.5, process guard 3.15. Avast with internet mail-, webshield, standard schutz, netzwerk schutz-provider.
What makes you think that avast! has anything to do with your BSODs ? Everything perfect in here, I just checked that web site and cameras, and everything works just great !
See sceenshot…
Cheers !
EDIT: By the way, new avast! beta is out since few days ago, so you may wanna try to update your copy of avast! and see if problem is still there… you can not update to beta as you usually do… you have to visit this thread and download that little file… all information are in that thread by Vlk.
Reread my previous reply, I edited it. There is new avast! beta (4.6.612) update available. You’ll find a link in my previous reply. Follow Vlk’s instruction on how to download and install it…
Also, any additional info like what OS you are running and any other information would be great, and could help a lot in solving your problem. What other security programs have you installed, any other antivirus running along with avast! (not recommended), what firewall, resident antispyware etc. etc.
OK, post back when you see what happens. As I can see, you are using Firefox 1.0 as your web browser and Outpost as your firewall. There were some problems reported with Outpost in Outpost (Agnitum) forums before. I had some serious problems with Outpost myself… so, you should check that as well.
STOP: 0x0000008E (0x80000003, 0x804E30C8, 0xB29F8B24, 0x00000000) - those numbers won’t tell much to anyone, but you should look for some event log files in computer management. There you can find what caused your BSODs…
Funny Things happen.
After installing the avast 4.6.614 beta i still had several bsod. Today i tried again and again bsod. Then i deactivatet the webshield and everything was working fine. After some hours of testing i reactivatet webshield and still everything works just fine.
i don’t no whats going on. Hope it will keep working.

In the event log files the only entry i find is:
Der Computer ist nach einem schwerwiegenden Fehler neu gestartet. Der Fehlercode war: 0x1000008e (0x80000003, 0x804e30c8, 0xb252db24, 0x00000000). Ein volles Abbild wurde gespeichert in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini030905-01.dmp.
I have some minidump, if somebody is interested in further studys.
That’s good if everything works fine now. I hope it will stay that way. Also, I have to say that I checked your web site with Firefox and whole Firefox just freezes when checking that web site. I never experienced those BSODs, but I see that something is wrong when previewing that site with Firefox. Maxthon and IE shows that page without single problem though…
It would be great if we can hear from Alwil guys now, and also I’m sure somone would be happy to check that dmp file for you…
Great ! So… renes - contact Vlk (Ondrej Vlcek) and ask him what would be the best way to transfer that dmp file. I guess he’ll tell you to upload it to Alwil FTP location or maybe through the e-mail (if it’s not huge), but speak to him regarding the details…
Do not send him IM because he will not read it. Rather send him e-mail or point his direction somehow to this thread…
