with the latest Avast Version (clean install) I had an BSOD by starting the game Bioshock2 (latest patch).

Are you sure it’s because of avast! ? Do you remember what has been written on BSOD ?
Yes, this BSOD was caused by avast - I forwared minidump to one of our devs.
