Hey there Avast Team. I’ve been in contact with Razer for a few weeks already about an issue I was experiencing with their Audio not working using their THX Mode (https://www2.razer.com/ap-en/thx-spatial-audio). Using that Audio mode, the sound didn’t work, which was unpleasant because I own their Razer Nari headphones that have THX Spatial Audio supported.
Today I’ve reformatted my PC, and I realized the THX Spatial Audio mode is working. (The driver was installed automatically by their Razer Synapse 3 program) But then Avast Driver Updater updated the THX Spatial Audio driver to what’s supposed to be a newer version. Once Avast Driver Updater updated to the latest version, the sound stopped working like before. I was able to restore the driver to the old version using Avast Driver Updater, and it worked again.
I’ve told all the information about it to Razer and that was their response: "We’re currently unsure where the Avast Driver Updater is getting that version. But rest assured that we’ll be raising this concern to our Dev Team.
If you have any other Razer concerns, please feel free to contact us back."
I thought it would be good letting you guys know about it to maybe try and prevent it from updating because it’s breaking the THX audio. (I included an image).
