Thanks for the extensive report! I’ll take a look at it.
Meanwhile, could you please try to disable sending of the account status and then enable it again? It should send the current status right away. Then go to the my.avast.com and check the “Last Communication” field on the Security Info tab. There should be something like “1 minute ago”.
The state of the device is sent once every hour (it can be set on the avast! Account screen on your phone down to 1 minute). On the web, just press F5 or go to another page and back, if you want to see the new state
Yeah, don’t set it to 1 minute, 1 hour is the most reasonable default :).
Reloading the web won’t reload the device state, if there is no new information about it. But when the phone sents a new state (once every hour), then you have to reload the web to see the new state there.
All is green but still it’s “Unsecured”.
I removed my cell phone from the account and linked it again, but that didn’t work.
Also the cellphone connected serveral times today, and the status stays the same.
Possible solution if yours is like mine. On your device, make sure App Shield, Web Shield and Message Shield are all checked.
I had the same issue when I installed avast a few days ago. Basically, I had the web shield and part of the app shield (scan apps on execution) disabled/unchecked. It took me a while to figure this out because on the device it says secured.
Cool, thanks I just checked and the only thing I don’t have checked is scan on app launch, seems like that would delay them, so I’m leaving that unchecked.
I have the same , unchecked the app on launch scan. Think with some apps it drains battery power.
Is it possible to fix this on the portal, so that if the phone says secure the portal does also? Even with this option disabled?
