Bug tracker for 5.1.889

Looks like lot of people facing lot of problem in avast current build 5.1.889.avast should make a bugtracker to gather all bug & should fixed in next version.evengalist and technical team what you say about this idea? :stuck_out_tongue:

So let’s start with you, Swarnava.
What bug in avast 5.1.889 affects you, exactly?

Thanks
Vlk

Mine ais working fine.i am telling about others

Not facing any issue/compatibility problem/slowdowns/bugs or any kind of negative thing coming from avast! actually.
I don’t see the main goal of this idea since the most part of issues comes from compatibility problems between avast! and other real time protection program (like another AV or rest of AV not deleted correctly).

Than why you say :

Greetz, Red.

So, Wolf
I’m posting here a bug reported by someone else before.
When the scan finish and you have closed avast window you cannot access the window showing you what threads was founded and you must look in the scan logs to perform actions.
Next bug is if you will type name of any infected website to the google search, or youtube, then it will reports a virus. The weird is thing, that i didn’t enter that website. (see attachment)

i was on the google.com and enter the “nobrain.dk” to the google search.
btw is the hxxp://www.nobrain.dk really dangerous or it is false positive?

@Swarnava

Don’t mean to get in your way here VLK. Obviously the Avast team monitors the forum. What other security software team actually interacts with its users? Another thing, speak for yourself. You have stated the above in other posts too. I currently have Avast installed on two computers, two different operating systems, xp and windows 7, 32 and 64 bit. No problems here. Do you know the pre-existing conditions of any users operating system? Do you know what other security software has been and is installed on anyone else’s computer? Do you know how this security software was uninstalled? Security software can conflict with other security software. It is a known fact. Just read other forums. There have been times where I have read what security software a user is using and have gone to the other software vendors site and specifically found this “Do not run with other real-time security applications” or something very similar to this. But users continue with the install regardless. Please keep this in mind. The number of users that report problems on the forum is minimal as compared to those that are using Avast without problems. How many registered users are there now? Over 140 million?

I think that it might be quite enlightening to the Avast staff to compare the IPs of posters on these forums to the IPs of machines connecting to the Avast update servers. I realize that some posters have real problems, but there are an awful lot of posters that come off as trolls. They offer no real information about their setup so as to make it impossible to help them. Often, they make one post and then disappear.

I told buggy because of people.mine Ais with win 7 ultimate working fine.no issue here

can you give us a few examples of other bug trackers where you post regularly, with links to your reports? thanks.

do you asking me how to create bug tracker or you asking to collect bug & post here?

none of that, read my post again ::slight_smile:

Looks like you haven’t got the slightest idea what a support forum is about, people come here because they have problems, that doesn’t mean it is the same for the greatest majority or these forums would be absolutely lit up like a Christmas tree. That certainly isn’t the case, but that doesn’t detract from those that are experiencing problems, but you should also see that these problems are being monitored and worked on, plus temporary workarounds given.

People aren’t breaking down the doors to report that they are having no problem with 5.1.889.

So inadvertently bugs are being monitored through the forums and no doubt they are recorded.

Please don’t bother to reply to this as this topic (poll) is already long enough without you racking up your post count.

5.1.889 is working great here. Avast has done one heck of job. I appreciate the amount of time the developers spend here interacting with their users.

Thank you Avast!!

Just adding what bugs I have encountered and the new one with Vista Superfetch.
I thought that all was fixed after the program updates and the problem with the Dell WLAN and crashes at startup! But after another blue screen on start up the virus defs. would not go through and read “package is broken”,the only thing that finally fixed it was another complete reinstall!I have gotten one crash since but NOW the bigger problem is that Vista Superfetch has stopped working a couple of times,I think it’s mostly when a video is playing in Firefox Browser, didn’t have this trouble before?
Thanks for all of the help,
Steve

They had a bug tracker…
http://bt.avast.com/main_page.php
Seems it’s not live anymore…

Probably a good thing
The problem with that was that it was more of an internal thing, and to view it you had to register, and then anyone could just go posting randomly…I had this discussion with one of the avast! team a while ago who had it in his sig…

Scott, did you load the page? I mean, I can’t… Can you?

No, I can’t.

It wasn’t really useful for us users, more for the Devs to keep track of the bugs they need to work on
