Bugs and Problem

Ask and report your problem here…

I have found some bugs during start up and loading.
The main problem is when windows loading it took longer then expected for the wireless and LAn to load.
I have settle this problem by reinstall my hardware and restart.
But the problem come again when I update my Avast virus database…
Hope this problem will be solved…

??? ???

I am guessing that mojako_2you does not normally use the English language. Perhaps something was lost in the translation.

I will also guess that what is meant is that mojako_2you is having computer start-up problems with avast installed … although, I have no idea why that would happen … particularly concerning the wireless & LAN applications.
???

I’m guessing too… but taken as a whole.

it may be that mojako_2you’s “bug” is that Avast! is trying to update before internet connection is available due to delay in establishing wireless LAN connection - but I’m not confident. Please confirm or explain problem again.

When we turn computer on after that enter the user, Im having problem with my Local area connection and wireless connection loading in the tray icon at the right of my start menu. This usually happen after updating my virus database.

To delay the update of avast into a permanent internet connection (DSL) you can change the value AlwaysConnectedWaitSeconds into avast4.ini file. Details on ‘Settings’ in my signature.

Alan’s experience: This is especially true during Windows update week. Windows automatic updates seem to hog resources even to just determine that updates do exist but you are just not allowed to download them yet (to prevent overload of Microsoft’s servers). So this is happening at every startup during the Windows update period until you have been permitted to download the updates. Although I do not have “smoking gun” logs to prove it (a bit hard to get on an overloaded system at startup) I am reasonably certain that the Windows automatic update process, at this time, can prevent the avast automatic VPS update from getting timely access to it servers and causing avast to report an automatic update error - especially on older, less powerful systems. This past week was Windows update week, some folks this week waited 4 or 5 days before being permitted to download the Windows updates through the automatic update process.
