avast! keeps popping up windows alerting me of this file, even though I tried all three options given to me (move to chest, block, delete file). C:\WinDir doesn’t even exist, so I have no way of analyzing the file. I’m currently scanning with Malwarebytes and nothing is infected in memory. avast! displayed it as a generic malware, so I hope it’s nothing too bad. Actually, the alerts stopped popping up, but I’ll post this anyway, just in case it happens again in the future.
follow this guide and attach (not copy and paste) logs from malwarebytes / OTL / aswMBR
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
when done a malware specialist will be notified…may take several hours before he arrive
Here’s what I have so far.
I will need to see the aswMBR log as well
