Why avast mobile app not blocking incoming unknown and hidden number calls when i activate it. Anybody else got this problem??? :-[

Same here, and I’m on android 7. Trying to block a number using a wildcard, but it keeps ringing.

Hi, as the link by bob3160 suggests, Call Blocker is restricted now, but that only concerns Android 9 and higher.
It should work OK on devices with Android up to version 8.

It would really help us, if you specified the following:

  • do you use the + symbol?
  • do you enter a country code? what country?
  • do you manually type the blocked number or choose from contacts?

Same issue with my Android 6. Tried both with and without “+”, with and without the country code. Seems irrelevant.

Hi again, a colleague from QA tried to retest call blocker on 6.21.1 version on Android 6 and 7 device and it worked. He tried an unknown number, a number from contact list, a number added manually and also wildcard. So we will need probably the exact scenario from you, the app version and more details about the type of your device.
