Called to cancel subscription

Called to CANCEL sub scripting and phone call to automation wouldn’t respond by taking me to billing ‘press3’ then automation says ‘I haven’t heard from you in a while. I will disconnect’ or some gaslighting garbage. I WANT TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION>

Why do you make it impossible to cancel???

try in your avast account How to manage subscriptions via your Avast Account | Avast

How to manage subscriptions via my Avast Account is frankly a load of BULLSHIT it continuously sends you around in circles
You should come out with a package to protect users from yourselves
Ounce a user opens a account you continuously repeat the unwanted order year after year
My only way out is to change banks
PLEASE PLEASE CANCEL MY ACCOUNT and SUBSCRIBTION
I DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH A SHADY COMPANY

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

From your responses it looks like you have tried to deal with this from the support pages (not great) rather than your Avast Account, connect using the id.avast.com
You will need to enter your username and password.

Or you could try connecting to your account Via the Avast Program User Interface.

STOP SHOUTING AS WE ARE USERS AND NOT SUPPORT

and in the user account all you have to click on is unsubscribe which stops any future payments.
you signed up for a free trial. if you had read the terms it says in not so many words it is upto you to cancel the subscription which you agreed to. clicking unsubscribe will stop the first payment if you are using the trial and if a long term user stop any future yearly payments.

ps. i done just this above when they wanted £85 for a new year for 1 pc. i logged in clicked unsubscribe, went to amazon and bought a 3 year 10 pc key cover for under £30.

Sorry if it seems like I am attacking you personally, I am just so frustrated at being taken for a ride.
I have tried this route the page claims I have NO SUBSCRIPTIONS LISTED, but they still dock my bank account every January, for the most expensive version of their antivirus program THAT I DID NOT SIGN UP for.
I tried to get the bank to reverse this deduction but they tell me THEY have not not been able to contact Avast to rectify the matter. It seems like once you have given your banking details to Avast they will continue to raid your banking account every year with an increased subscription fee. There seems no way to contact anybody at Avast to stop this blatant theft. It seems like they use their IT skills to circumvent banking protocols — not something a honest enterprise would perpetrate. Hence my only recourse is to change banks and hope they don’t go on a hacking spree to locate my new bank account details. BEWARE OF THEM DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY OF THEIR SCAMS because in my experience thats what they are.
