Hello,

I hope someone will be able to help me as I have a small issue which I need to solve.
My Operating System is Windows Vista Home Basic 32 BIT.
I use Avast Free Antivirus 5.0.377 and this is the small issue I have:

I use Microsoft Outlook to send and receive emails, I have found while I am writing the email and I use colours like blue or green and I use bold and underline it is fine.
However I have noticed that after I have sent it and checked in my sent items the email is not as I had composed it, in other words the colours, bold and underline have been turned off.
Why could this be?

I hope someone can advise me on how to solve this small issue.
Is it Avast causing the problem or is it something else?

there’s another recent thread about it somewhere (yesterday), it’s probably the outlook plugin option in the email scanner settings doing that, ie HTML is “translated” in plain text. Try to deactivate the plugin.

I told you already :wink: go to the mail shield advanced settings, behavior tab.

Ok have done that, what must I look for or do after that? sorry if I upset you:(

you don’t upset me :wink: … so now just check if it works, ie if your mails are scanned and if HTML is preserved in your mails. Do a test check by sending a mail with HTML content to yourself.
