can i disable the pops up?

Hi

outside game silent/mode, or show notificiaction box after update

i would like to keep the audio,the sound and disable the pops up

is there a way to do it with avast 8?

Settings → Updates, scroll all the way down and open the last settings panel. There you will see 3 options for update popups. I think the middle one is for successful updates. You can leave error notification so it would still display a red warning when updates fail for whatever reason. But you won’t see any green popups anymore. I have it set this way for ages as i don’t like the popups.

i dont’ talk about the green box pop up after an update
i’m taking about the red or blue box pop up
i would like to disable them and keep the voices/audio

i tried to set 0 or -1 in the pop up windows but nothing

for example i have webshield on, action disconnect
i try to download eicar.com
it pops up the red box and the voice warning

i want to disable the pop ups but keep the voice warnings

can i do ?
i remember i did ask at avast 6 or 7

There is no 50/50 option unfortunately, disable the pop-up the associated audio notification goes too, first you get the pop-up and then you get the audio, no pop-up no trigger for the audio.

but why don’t avat team add this feature
i guess it’s not a big problem

i remember when i left avast V2 to avast v3 , old times , and avast team was very attentive to the users request
in short they wanted to make one the best antivirus

I can’t speak for avast, as an avast user - but times change.

There is a compromise reduce the pop-up duration to 1 second, that would still trigger the audio.
