I am about to buy my Avast license, having trialed “PRO” version.
My question, can the full “Internet Security” version be installed WITHOUT the Avast firewall?
Reason: I want to retain my current third party firewall program.

Choose “Custom install” at the start and keep looking out for it.
You can check/uncheck most components.

My last AV for a few years was AVG but to upgrade to 2012 I had to (quote) delete my firewall software completely, install the upgrade, then reinstall my Firewall (AVG won’t install if it gets even a sniff of another FW!!).
Anybod appreciate just how long it can take to set up an FW on a busy machine properly? So I won’t touch anything with such unfair marketing practices.
