Hi,
I recently foormated the HDD and reinstalled the OS, then installed my avast and I wanted to log into the passwords, which I had synchronized in my past. I don’t remember via which account I made that synchronisation. If it was via google or via facebook or none of those two. But I definitely had (and in this very moment I have) the synchronisation turned on.
Please, how can I sync my passwords from old system to this new. I have a copy of that OS on another HDD. Another means externall, but it is not working as a bootable copy, only a backup of the whole disc = raw data.
In the section “https://my.avast.com/#devices”
I can see my old “device” which was the same device (PC before erased HDD) which I am using now. But this avast app sees my actual PC (that very same PC) as another device.
So how can I sync the passwords?
Can I somehow export them from raw data from backup?
They must be somehow stored somewhere.
Well, I am not an expert in single device options, because I always have PC + Mobile synced all the time, but have you tried just to log on into your avast account from avast UI? IMHO it should sync your passwords from your account after that.
no,
it is not working.
It asked me for all main passcodes and even I am providing the correct ones, it is not showing old passwords… maybe bad luck. maybe wrong code from avast.
