can i use avast 8 and not avast 9 and how can i find avast 8 download

I have used avast 9 on my windows 8 pc but did not like it very much and avast 8 was much better and avast 9 made ie10 stop working all the time with the toolbar turned on so and now avast 9.0.2011 has gone live lots of people have been unhappy with it thanks if you can help :slight_smile: :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

You are wrong.
avast 2014.9.0.2011 is better.
It offers more/better protection.

Lots of people are unhappy?
How about the (over) 200 million people that are happy…

And what is there to like?
Just set it up as you wish.
You don’t have to look at it all day.
Just let it do it’s job in the background.

For your IE issue disable the “avast online security” add-on/plug-in.
You can do this by clicking on “tools” (the sprocket) in the IE GUI. :slight_smile:
