This was raised on the WISHLIST thread but I didn’t want to persue it there and clutter up that thread.
I’m a Home user and would like to know if I can configure Avast! to send an email when it receives an update. A bit like the SMTP alert for Virus detection. I believe it can be done in Pro but can’t find a way to do it in Home so perhaps it’s not available in Home edition.
You can have an announcement sent to your email everytime an update is released. To sign on goto the avast! Subscription Service page. 
Ah yes, I realise that. But what I was after was a notification email from my PC when a program update or database update gets installed. A bit like I can receive a notification email when Avast! detects a virus.

OK, thanks for the reply. I didn’t think it was.
Also, if an update happens when the PC is logged off and then someone logs on 10 minutes later there is no notification of an update. If notification is turned on I think you should be notified of all updates. and Avast! ought to remember to notify you when you next login.
